Day 1 - On the road

Road trips make me a little uneasy. My family and I planned to leave our house at 4 this morning. My friend Sydney slept and came with us. For some reason my 3:15 alarm didn't go off and my mother woke up at 3:50. As I lie on my pillow against the car window, my head vibrating from the tire rolling on to our destination, I can't help feeling a little bit responsible for adding CO2 to the earth's atmosphere. Whilst driving, a car secretes CO2 into the atmosphere, which contributes to global warming. But enough about gases and our impending climate change. We are on our way to San Diego. Visiting colleges was our main focus for the trip, but because of a lot of my relatives live in San Diego we are visiting hem too. In fact we're staying with my aunt. My two cousins who I will be loving with for the next week are quite characters. 1 going to be a senior the other moving onto the trials and tribulations of high school. They are both big gamers, constantly in the computer it playing video games. I'm really appalled that they don't do more. They live in one of the most beautiful cities across America. Last weekend was the annual San Diego Comic-con, they live 15 minutes away from the warm surf and sand. Yesterday I asked my cousin Kyle if he would be interested in going to a concert, because The Ready Set were having a concert in San Diego on the Wednesday my family and I would be staying there. And he replied with a lethargic "not really". I honestly don't know where their sense of adventure and joy is, I wonder of they know that there is a world beyond their computer screens. I have another 7 1/2 hours to go, hopefully I won't go crazy and I am absolutely starving.

Basically sums up the day

Classic - MKTO

My sister found this song. During the year, I discovered MKTO from their "Thank You" song. This song kind of reminds me of a Michael Jackson Song, with a little bit of Victorious, not sure why. Any who, enjoy!

The Stand In - Check In the Dark ft. Leighton Meester

Leighton is absolutely fabulous in this song. I am just waiting for her new album to come out and her next music tour. Honestly I have an unhealthy idolatry for Leighton.

Under the Dome

As you all know, I am obsessed with television. I watch so many shows; you can check out my t.v. schedule in my Likes tab. Any who, today I started watching a new show on CBS called "Under the Dome" based on Stephen Kings' novel. "Under the Dome" is a super intense show that definitely keeps me on my toes and on the edge of my seat. You guys should def. check it out.

Britt Robertson stars as Angie. Britt is an amazing actor, in her character's situation, she does a fantastic job. I am literally so scared every time she acts because of her situation. Her tears are magnificent.

Anyway, guys check it out it airs on Mondays at 10:00 PM on CBS.

Floral Fun

Denim Jacket: Papaya
Floral Dress: Papaya
Brown Flats: Payless Shoe Source

So being perfectly honest, the only reason I wanted to start a fashion section to this blog was because of my cousin. Catherine's outfit was super cute and she pulled off the whole denim with floral look(something I probably would not be able to do hahah.)

those with short attention spans just skip over all this cuz I don't need you anyway

My mother has been making me file things for her this whole day. I spent 2 hours this morning at 10, then she's been calling me every 5 minutes, I haven't even been able to eat lunch. Thankfully I have had enough time in between calls to make some popcorn. Right now, I'm righting this post in intervals, every 5 minutes. Seriously, so much for a 4 day weekend. This was my weekend. 3/4 days I was working.

Thursday: Sleepover
Friday: Hw and help Catherine with video
Saturday: Clean house
Sunday: File papers

What an exciting weekend! After I filed everything and basically spent half the day on it, I asked her if I could get paid for it and she said no. Its ok I'm kind of alright with that, but the thing is. My mom will pay my sisters to, for example, practice their instruments, something they should already be doing. Honestly, some people don't know how good they have life.

Make Me Wanna Die

>>This is pretty much describing me perfectly right now

Sunday Morning

Go check out Catherine's Youtube channel. She just made a new music cover, directed by yours truly.

Life of the eldest

those with short attention spans just skip over all this cuz I don't need you anyway

As the eldest child in the family, I have several responsibilities. When I say "several" it means I'm actually expected to do everything in the house. I am the one that gets yelled at, I am the one that is limited, I am the one that does everything wrong. For example, because this week was the July 4th week, I got 2 extra days off of summer school. My parents had to go out of town on business  so my 2 younger sisters and I stayed at my cousin, Catherine's, house. (She's basically living with me for summer school). Yesterday Catherine and I were supposed to go to the mall and check off another item on my summer bucketlist, but my parents wanted me to go home and study. THEY WEREN'T EVEN HOME AND I HAD TO STUDY? seriously? The whole point of a weekend is to relax, not cram more studying and information down my throat. Luckily my aunt convinced my mom to let us stay until Sunday. But wait, for some reason I'm in my room blogging instead of having fun at Great America. Why did this happen you say?

Since my parents wanted us to go and my aunt convinced them to let us stay, "we" (actually means me, because I am the eldest) were supposed to do homework. At my mother's wishes, I stayed there and did homework instead of going to check things off my bucketlist. On Saturday we were supposed to go to Great America, but my aunt's annoying friends came instead and messed up all of our plans again, so they went to San Francisco today instead. After the end of that day, my parents called and asked how the mall was.

Mother: How was the mall?
Me: *are you serious?* I didn't go, because YOU said that we had to stay home and do homework.
Mother: Really? Did you even bring your homework?
Me: Yea, *you were the one that basically yelled at me and forced me to bring it* I finished all of my math summer homework for school in the fall.
Mother: Good job, we just want you to be good (do well in life)
Me: *Whatever* Ok, bye

Later on the called again and said that they would drive to my aunt's house and stay for dinner. After the told us that, they asked what were going to do the next day (Saturday), I told them that my aunt planned for us to go to San Francisco. My parents turned right around and told me that I couldn't go, because I had already been to San Francisco. When they arrived at my aunt's house I started angrily packing my things, and they asked what I was doing. I told that since we were going home I would obviously have to bring my overnight things home too. My mom said I could stay the night.

Oh? I can stay the night? HOW GENEROUS. You're trying to "compromise" by letting me stay at Catherine's house TO SLEEP. Yea, I'm going to have sooooo much fun sleeping. I told them that there was no point in me sleeping over if we were going to go home in the morning anyway. We went home and now I am here. In my room. And this morning my mom told us all that we had to clean up. Which of course that means that I clean up while my 2 sisters lalidag in their rooms on the computer having fun. So of course, I tell them that they need to clean up and my mom turns around at me and tells me that everytime I clean up I always yell at my sisters. Oh, sorry I'm just trying to get them to actually clean up the messes that THEY made. So I made a plan

I took pictures of all the places that I was supposed to clean up. And while I was doing that, my mom started yelling at me for carrying out my plan. "STOP TAKING PICTURES, YOU THINK THAT YOU'RE GOING TO TAKE PICTURES AND SHOW US HOW MUCH YOU CLEAN? I ALWAYS CLEAN THE HOUSE BLAHBLAHBLAH" Throughout all of the screaming I was silently taking my pictures. Then my dad told me that I had attitude and threatened me by asking if I wanted to live out on the streets. Through all of this I was trying to stay strong and not cry, to show them that their threats were usual and that I didn't care. I almost succeeded.

While I was silently, and angrily cleaning up tears rolled down my eyes. After I cleaned up, I took a break and started this post. Just now a minute ago, my mom asked where I put all of HER papers, that were cluttering the living room. I told her that I put them in our library, then she started telling my dad "that every time they(my sisters and I, but actually just me cuz I'm the only one that cleans) clean up they just dump things in the different places" I marched over to the library where they were and began pointing out the things and where I put them.

Me: *pointing at a box* I moved thi....
Mother: Keep your voice down!

My younger sister was having a violin lesson and didn't the teacher to hear how my mom was about to yell at me for basically cleaning up the whole living room. I'm glad I let off a little steam, kind of, and no this is normal. A usual day for the eldest child in the family

The Hierarchy of Swimming

Swimming. Such a complicated sport. Let me tell you, breakstroke is the most complicated, technically. I've been swimming for 4 years and I still don't know if I'm doing it write. Right now, I am in between 2 groups at the moment. Between National and Black. There are two routes in our team. The colored route and the National route. Our team merged with another, so they had to create more groups to accommodate the addition of people. I was in Junior National, but due to finals and my parents pressuring me skip practices, and vacations, I got out of shape. Once I returned I was painstakingly slow. And was moved to Black for the high school season. Surprisingly my times got faster when I moved. I think it was because I was more rested and didn't constantly have to catch my breath. Now its summer and with the horrible fact that I have summer school, I am still in between.

Because of my summer school, I have to go to summer school practice(Mondays 6 - 7:30pm). Luckily summer school is only 4 hours so I get out at 12:30 and can make it to afternoon practices with National(Tuesdays-Thursdays 1:15 - 3:30). There will always be hierarchy. How else would the human race be able to progress without it. Unfortunately, I am at the bottom in swimming. My times aren't as fast as the un-human swimmers in National. So I just kind of dawdle behind. I'm usually ignored, which is fine, I am a little bit of an introvert. I just wish that maybe some people(especially the girls) would make a little bit of an effort to make friends with me. I am a little strange and awkward, but like those annoying tumblr quotes say, I'm crazy when I'm around my friends and shy with anyone else. But it is ok, I'm not at practice to make friends (well not really), I'm there so I can get my times up and improve.

Its Saturday and I'm still sore from Thursday's practice. My poor triceps.
